HistoriaKT Wiz Training Camp Boosts Deakin Baseball Profile
Dear DEAKIN Baseball & Softball supporters,We’re proud to share that the Geelong Baseball Centre at Waurn Ponds—home to DEAKIN baseball and softball—has received a major facelift. In early February, elite Korean Baseball Organisation team KT Wiz began a six‑week summer training camp in Geelong, supported by upgrades to Diamond One, including revamped turf, improved drainage and irrigation, and enhanced safety standards. These enhancements heighten our venue’s reputation as a premier regional baseball facility. DEAKIN is thrilled to be part of a community that supports elite-level sport and provides our athletes with top‑quality grounds to train and compete. Here’s to more homegrown success, on fields we’re proud to call our own.
