HistoriaDearne Valley Archery Club at the heart of South Yorkshire archery
Dearne Valley Archery Club continues to anchor target archery in the Dearne Valley, South Yorkshire, with regular club sessions, structured beginner coaching and routes into competitive shooting for all ages and bow styles [1][2].Field archery in the area is well served by Dearne Valley Field Archers, an NFAS‑affiliated outfit that offers woodland shooting for archers looking beyond the target range [3]. DVAC have also hosted World Archery field course days, adding variety and development opportunities to the local calendar [4].The club’s roots run deep in the community, with local histories recording decades of activity and participation around Goldthorpe and the wider Dearne Valley [5]. That connection shows on event days too: Team GB Olympian Amy Oliver has pitched in at field archery activities, supporting and presenting at a Dearne Valley gathering [6].For contact details, membership enquiries and upcoming beginner courses, the club’s website and contact page provide the latest information [1][7].
