HistoriaFire Service Spikers rally past Excelsior VC 3–1
Fire Service steadied after a slow start and closed strong to defeat Excelsior VC 3–1, flipping the match with set scores of 23–25, 25–19, 25–8, 25–13 [2]. The response, built on cleaner reception and aggressive serving, reflected the Spikers’ recent momentum as the Jimeta/Yola club keeps stacking competitive minutes [1][2].The victory adds to a growing body of work from the program, whose regular training rhythm and active match slate continue to fuel improvements across the rotation [1].

HistoriaFire Service edge Kada Emeralds 3–2, fall to NSCDC in CGC Premier League Phase I
Fire Service’s Spikers absorbed an early hit but punched back to take a five-setter over Kada Emeralds, 25–20, 18–25, 12–25, 25–20, 15–10, capping a gritty turnaround in Phase I of the 2026 CGC Volleyball Premier League [1][2].Earlier in the phase, they were swept by NSCDC 3–0, a result that underscored the thin margins at the top end of the women’s field [2]. Even so, Fire Service wrapped the opening phase with 16 points on the board, keeping themselves firmly in the chase heading into the league’s next stop [1].With a comeback win already banked and the lessons from the Civil Defence defeat, the Jimeta side has a clear platform to sharpen its side-out and first-ball attack as the campaign moves forward [1][2].
