HistoriaSLAF Trade Training School Ekala wins Inter Unit Billiard and Snooker Championship 2026
SLAF Trade Training School, Ekala, took home the Inter Unit Billiard and Snooker Championship 2026 at SLAF Base Katunayake on 27 May, edging SLAF Base Anuradhapura, who finished runners-up [1]. The prize-giving followed at the base gymnasium with senior SLAF sports officials in attendance [1].Individual honours went to cueists who owned the tables on finals day: Mr. Saman Bandara of SLAF Base Anuradhapura captured the Billiards Open Men’s title, while Sergeant Dananjalee GC of SLAF Station Sri Jayewardenepura secured the Billiards Open Women’s crown [1].The meet added another strong chapter to the Force’s inter‑unit sports calendar, underscoring the depth of cue sports talent across stations and schools within the SLAF [1][2]. Expect bragging rights to ring loud in Ekala until the next edition rolls around [1].
