HistoriaPinellas County Sports Tourism Boosts Baseball & Softball Infrastructure
St. Pete Stingers Baseball is highlighted within a thriving regional sports landscape as Pinellas County reports robust growth in baseball and softball activity. Since October, the county has hosted 53 sporting events—ranging from softball tournaments to sailing competitions—that have generated approximately $30 million in direct local spending (aol.com). Among the new infrastructure enhancements, Sprowls Horizon Sports Park in nearby Pinellas Park has opened its doors featuring six baseball and softball fields, booked each weekend through the end of 2026, offering expanded capacity for youth and amateur clubs such as St. Pete Stingers Baseball to utilize (baynews9.com). These developments reflect ongoing momentum for the sport across the St. Petersburg region.
