HistoriaYokohama BayStars Sign Former MLB Reliever José Ruiz
The Yokohama BayStars have bolstered their pitching staff with the signing of former Major League Baseball reliever José Ruiz. Ruiz, who has pitched for multiple MLB teams including the Braves and Phillies, is making the move to Nippon Professional Baseball with Yokohama, where he may transition into a starter role as many overseas pitchers do in Japan (worldbaseball.com). This addition reflects the club’s ongoing efforts to enhance its roster following strong recent performances and indicates a continued international recruitment strategy aimed at deepening pitching depth.
