The Altoona Baseball League affiliate, the Altoona Curve, will showcase a heritage-themed alternate identity during select 2026 games. The team will don the “Continentals” name in honor of Pennsylvania’s Continental Army history, aligning with America’s 250th anniversary. This throwback is part of a broader minor league trend of embracing historical identities in promotional efforts. The identity will appear monthly throughout the season alongside another retro “Mud Turtles” theme celebrating Altoona’s early baseball history from the 1890s. The initiative aims to connect modern fans with the region’s rich baseball and patriotic roots.
