Antioch Area Prepares for 2026 Softball Season with Sequoits’ Core Returning
Antioch area softball remains robust as the Antioch Sequoits gear up for the 2026 campaign with a strong veteran presence. The team returns nine of ten starters from a 2025 squad that captured its seventh league title in eight years, 12th consecutive regional title and fifth straight sectional crown. Key returners include all‑state talents Samantha Hillner, Tegan Schuler, Claire Schuyler and Addison Webb, while promising newcomers—freshmen Brooke White, Rylee Dunlavy, Kylie Pfleeger and pitcher Pearl Wenzel—add depth and national rankings to the roster. Coach Anthony Rocco’s program enters the spring with high expectations following a 24‑14 record and continued postseason success. The prepaid schedule features 16 games against ranked opponents as Antioch checks in at No. 5 in the ICA Class 3A preseason poll. The strength, experience and depth of the roster will be focal to the team’s postseason ambitions.
