Central Coast Phillies Baseball Launches 18U Showcase Softball Team
Central Coast Phillies Baseball, based in Paso Robles, has unveiled plans to introduce an 18-and-under showcase softball team for high school athletes, extending the club’s reach beyond its existing youth programs. The new roster of freshmen through seniors aims to compete in four Northern California tournaments attended by college coaches, enhancing exposure and recruiting opportunities. Former college pitcher Elise Foster will lead the initiative alongside high school coaches from Paso Robles to Santa Maria. The organization, founded in 2020 following the opening of its baseball facility, previously operated softball teams for ages nine to 13 that achieved multiple top-two finishes in local and state tournaments. The article underscores the club’s continuing evolution and commitment to athlete development. Implements tryouts at Liberty High School in early August.
