Chicago Cubs Scout Team builds SoCal pipeline from Calabasas with upper/underclass squads
Operating out of Calabasas, the Chicago Cubs Scout Team runs as the Chicago Cubs Southern California Scout Team, with a clear player-development and exposure focus for college and professional opportunities [1][5].The program fields multiple age-level squads, including UpperClass and UnderClass teams, and also features a collegiate component known as the Malibu Marlins. Rosters of high school prospects are maintained and published for recruiters and families tracking the pipeline [1][2].The teams are active on the showcase circuit, with listings on Perfect Game reflecting event registrations and participation against national competition [3].Public directories and program listings place the operation in Calabasas and provide staff contacts for inquiries from families and colleges, underscoring its established footprint in the local baseball scene [4][5].
