Deltona Homeowners Seek Field Safety Measures Near Youth Baseball Facilities
West Volusia Youth Baseball plays a significant role in the Deltona community by providing supervised baseball and softball games for children during spring and fall seasons, as indicated by the organization’s most recent IRS financial filings per the Form 990-EZ for fiscal year ending December 2024 (causeiq.com). Meanwhile, nearby Manny Rodriguez Park in Deltona has drawn attention as homeowners on Farrington Drive have reported repeated damage from foul balls leaving the field, prompting calls for enhanced protective measures from the city’s parks department (clickorlando.com). The combination of the local youth league’s ongoing seasonal activity and concerns around field safety underscores a growing need for infrastructure solutions to safeguard surrounding residential areas while youth sports programs continue to serve the region.
