EGCYBL to transition to Cal Ripken Baseball after 2026; Majors move to 50/70 in 2027
East Greenbush Castleton Youth Baseball confirmed it will change affiliation to Cal Ripken Baseball, part of Babe Ruth League, after the 2026 season. All recreational, travel, and All‑Star operations for 2026 remain as scheduled. [1]Beginning in 2027, the Majors (11–12) division will play on 50/70 dimensions—50‑foot pitching distance and 70‑foot basepaths—and the league will use Cal Ripken Baseball’s April 30 age cutoff, which may shift some player division placements. [1]Season information and schedules for 2026 remain posted, and families can continue to find updates through the league’s website. [3][2]
