Elk Grove edges Rodriguez 5–4 to clinch record 12th Sac‑Joaquin D‑II crown
Elk Grove did enough in a tight final, edging Rodriguez 5–4 at Sacramento City College to bring home the Sac‑Joaquin Section Division II championship [1]. The banner is the program’s record 12th section title, extending the Herd’s lead on the all‑time list [2].The victory also marked the first section crown for head coach Joe Bellotti at the helm of Elk Grove, a fitting milestone in a season where the Herd leaned on their trademark depth and composure in close games [1].
