From the archives: big flies light up JOBL Concord tourney (June 16–17, 2012)
A June weekend in Concord delivered a pair of no‑doubt moments for the JOBL crowd. On June 16, 2012, Mon launched a three‑run line drive to left that struck a parked car beyond the fence [1]. A day later, June 17, Ant — the dugout knows him as “Twinkie” — turned on a pitch and sent a two‑run homer to left in game three of a five‑game slate at the same tournament [2].Two swings, same field, same summer — the kind of pop that still echoes around the Concord complex when the season turns to memories [1][2].
