Harris County Youth Football sets 2026 co‑ed flag season; fall tackle and cheer on deck
The whistles are set to return in Hamilton, with Harris County Youth Football posting its 2026 co‑ed flag football season on the league’s SportsConnect/BlueSombrero portal, where divisions, dates and fees are now live for families planning the calendar [2][3].The program is administered by the Harris County Recreation Department, which oversees youth football and cheerleading and outlines what families can expect for upcoming seasons [1]. Fall will again bring full‑contact youth tackle football alongside the cheer program under the same umbrella [1].Families can track updates on the league’s Facebook page and confirm the program’s presence via USA Football’s League Finder listing [5][4]. The registration portal also details coach requirements and practice/game windows for the season to help teams hit the ground running [2][3].Local backing for the sport has been firm: in 2020, the county board reversed a cancellation to keep youth football on the calendar, underscoring the community’s commitment to the program [6].
