Kalispell Lakers Welcome New AA Head Coach Michael O’Connell
The Kalispell Lakers Baseball Association has appointed Michael O’Connell as the new AA Head Coach and Director of Baseball. O’Connell previously served nearly a decade at Miles Community College, concluding his tenure as head coach from 2023 to 2025. During that period, his teams posted a 75–31 record, secured the 2024 MONDAK Coach of the Year award, won a conference championship, and produced multiple NJCAA and All-Region honorees. He also maintained team GPAs above 3.5 and led the program in community service hours (kalispelllakers.org). The Kalispell Lakers Baseball Association anticipates that O’Connell’s emphasis on competitive excellence, academic success, and community leadership will reinforce the program’s longstanding player development traditions.
