Minor League wrap: South Bend powers past Peoria 10–4 as Hartshorn finds his swing
South Bend kept the line moving in mid‑July, belting past Peoria 10–4 with a stack of extra‑base hits to take control of the set [1].Josiah Hartshorn answered with a no‑doubt homer and looked back in rhythm as the Cubs continued to pile on wins [2]. The week also featured a clean‑sheet win to clinch the series over the Chiefs and a gritty 7–5 extra‑inning result at Cedar Rapids earlier in the swing [3][4].With the rotation setting the tone and the back end finishing frames, South Bend’s July push has them well positioned heading into the next homestand.
