Northbrook’s Diamond Instincts Baseball Reflects on Local Youth Baseball Developments
Diamond Instincts Baseball is situated in Northbrook, Illinois, and was formerly known for offering baseball and softball instruction, including lessons, clinics, league teams, and access to specialized training equipment such as the Fungo Man pitching machine (mapquest.com). While the facility is currently listed as permanently closed, the region continues to support youth baseball and softball development through alternative venues. Nearby, the Illinois Baseball Academy recently opened a new 32,000‑square‑foot facility called “The Yard” at 722 Landwehr Road, providing expanded training space, batting cages, meeting rooms, and programming for players from ages 3 to high school (dailyherald.com). The club formerly known as Diamond Instincts Baseball remains part of Northbrook’s longstanding commitment to baseball instruction, complementing broader enhancements in local youth sports infrastructure.
