Pelicans Unveil Ballpark Upgrades and Implement Paid Parking
The Myrtle Beach Pelicans have introduced a series of significant enhancements to Pelicans Ballpark ahead of the 2026 season. The upgrades include a nearly 9,400‑square‑foot event venue named “The Diamond,” a state‑of‑the‑art video board, a new sound system, upgraded hospitality areas and seating, and expanded clubhouses, hitting tunnels and locker rooms to benefit both players and fans. Simultaneously, the club is instituting a $10 game‑day parking fee, with exemptions for Myrtle Beach residents with decals and season‑ticket holders with packages of at least 22 games. These improvements are part of a broader $20 million renovation effort under the club’s 30‑year lease agreement with the city. The club will host its home opener against the Kannapolis Cannon Ballers on April 14, 2026.
