River Turtles lean on local D-I core as 2026 season opens vs. Doughboys
Pulaski’s summer is underway with an extended home stretch and a season-opening series against the Johnson City Doughboys in early June [1]. The opener is slated for 7:00 p.m. on June 6 in Pulaski, and the first road test comes June 8 at Burlington, a 7:00 p.m. date with the Sock Puppets [3].The roster leans into a local Division I spine, including four players tied to Radford and Virginia Tech. Manager Bill Kinneberg highlighted the edge of having nearby players who can readily access trainers, weight rooms and coaches as they settle into the grind of the Appy League summer [1].Single-game tickets are on sale through the club’s MiLB portal, with seats available for the opening homestand and beyond [2].
