Rocky Mountain Vibes Exit Brings College Summer Spotlight for CageRat Baseball
CageRat Baseball, a Colorado Springs–based academy and summer collegiate team, will step into the local baseball spotlight as the Rocky Mountain Vibes exit the city’s sports landscape. In mid‑February, the Vibes’ remaining team assets were auctioned off, marking the final chapter of minor league baseball in Colorado Springs (axios.com). As that professional void emerges, CageRat Baseball continues to offer structured youth training and college summer league competition. The club fields a summer collegiate team in the Rocky Mountain Baseball League, showcasing Division I talent from programs such as Alabama, Kansas State, Houston, and others (cageratbaseball.com). With the Vibes’ departure, CageRat Baseball's programs may provide the region’s baseball community with a locally based alternative at both developmental and entertainment levels.
