The Wilmington Sharks, a collegiate summer baseball team in the Coastal Plain League, were edged out 4–3 by the Greenville Yard Gnomes on June 6, 2025, despite a fourth-inning rally that put the Sharks ahead before Greenville responded in the sixth (yardgnomesbaseball.com). Later that month on June 29, the team rebounded with a 3–1 victory over the Yard Gnomes at Legion Stadium, anchored by a strong seven-inning outing from Brendan Kenneally, who allowed just one unearned run (yardgnomesbaseball.com).
