Softball Showcased: MLB Backs New Pro League
We at Athletics Baseball Organization are thrilled to spotlight a landmark development in our sport. Major League Baseball has announced a strategic investment in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League (AUSL), a newly formed professional women’s softball league. This partnership marks MLB’s first comprehensive support of a pro women’s sports circuit and includes marketing, broadcast support on MLB Network and MLB.com, and promotional collaboration (apnews.com). The AUSL will debut its inaugural 2025 season next June with four teams—Bandits, Blaze, Talons, and Volts—touring across the U.S., followed by a championship and All-Star format (apnews.com).
