Sterlington 12U sweeps Southwest, earns Little League Softball World Series berth
Sterlington’s 12U softball group sealed the Southwest crown with a perfect 3–0 regional run, booking its ticket to the Little League Softball World Series as the Southwest representative [1][2].On the World Series stage, Sterlington lined up against a mix of U.S. and international opposition, including matchups with Montreal (Canada), Austintown (Ohio) and Winterville (North Carolina) during their week in tournament play [3][4][5].Back home, the community turned out to welcome the team after its run on the national stage, a proud homecoming for a group that carried the local banner all summer [6]. The league continues to anchor youth baseball and softball in the area with year-round programming and updates through its official site, building on momentum that has put its softball all-stars in regional and national brackets in recent seasons [7][8].
