The Diamond Collective Enhances Youth Baseball & Softball Development in Baltimore
The Diamond Collective, a nonprofit baseball and softball training cooperative based in South Baltimore, continues to expand its community reach through enhanced facility upgrades and youth programming. In November 2025, the organization completed a significant lighting overhaul—supported by BGE’s Small Business Energy Solutions—to improve visibility across batting cages, turf areas, and classrooms. The upgrades cut energy costs and reduced greenhouse gas emissions by approximately 83.35 metric tons, saving over $8,400 annually (bgenow.com). The initiative supports Baltimore Urban Baseball Association and other partners in delivering comprehensive athletic training, academic support, and mentorship to underserved youth across the region (bgenow.com).
