‘The Game Changer’ turns a Kearneysville warehouse into a year‑round baseball/softball hub
Kearneysville’s indoor diamond has taken root on Charles Town Road, where The Game Changer converted a former warehouse into a 15,000‑square‑foot, climate‑controlled complex built for year‑round baseball and softball. The $2 million renovation—with roughly $500,000 invested in HVAC—opened in December 2017. Inside, the main turf can play as a regulation infield or break down into eight netted batting cages, backed by a full-size bullpen, a weight room, a Marucci pro shop, and a parent lounge dubbed “The Clubhouse.” [1]Beyond daily lessons, the facility books team training, parties, and events, giving local players a dependable winter home and coaches a flexible setup for infield, hitting, and pitching work. [1]The Game Changer serves area high school programs and fields seven travel teams that compete as “The Game Changers,” drawing interest from across the Eastern Panhandle and nearby Maryland and Virginia. The climate control keeps reps going 12 months a year. [1]The complex sits near the Berkeley/Jefferson county line at 3160 Charles Town Road.
