VALL player pathway set; 9U All‑Stars tournament gives extra reps at Centennial Park
Vacaville American details a clear ladder for developing ballplayers: Minors Single A (coach pitch, typically league ages 6–7) and Double AA (a coach/kid‑pitch blend for around 7–8), AAA (primarily 9–10, kid‑pitch) and Majors (11–12). Older divisions include Intermediate/50‑70 and Juniors, and the Challenger Division (ages 6–22) ensures adaptive baseball is part of the fold. [1]Team formation and draft procedures are tailored to each level, with an emphasis on age‑appropriate reps, skill growth and game experience. [1]That focus continues into summer. VALL has hosted a 9U All‑Stars Tournament at Centennial Park—its third annual running in 2026—drawing nearby leagues for an unsanctioned event designed to extend games and practice time for nine‑year‑olds. [2]The energy tracks with Opening Day, which kicked off at 8 a.m. and packed the complex with families, a snapshot of the league’s size and spirit. [3]
