Waterbury Roberto Clemente 12U All‑Stars Recognized for Historic Return
Waterbury’s Roberto Clemente 12U All‑Stars captured attention with a notable return to postseason play for the first time in 47 years. The team represented a revival of the long‑dormant Little League program in South Side Waterbury and garnered widespread community recognition for its postseason run last summer. The achievement was highlighted by The Waterbury Times, which chronicled the team’s journey through multiple games, delays and local pride. The resurgence of Clemente Little League underscores a renewed interest in youth baseball in Waterbury and reflects the sport’s enduring community role.
