PričaLegia Warszawa Prepares New Courts Ahead of WTA Event
Akademia Tenisa Perun observes broader developments in Warsaw’s racquet sports landscape as courts at Legia Warszawa undergo a significant transformation. The central and four auxiliary clay courts are being replaced with Laykold hard courts, a surface used in major professional tournaments, with work beginning around March 20 and expected to conclude by mid‑June (przegladsportowy.onet.pl). This upgrade is timed ahead of the WTA BNP Paribas Poland Open scheduled from July 24 to 31 (przegladsportowy.onet.pl). The shift to hard courts may influence training conditions for local academies, including Akademia Tenisa Perun, as the region transitions toward surfaces that align more closely with high‑level competition.
