PričaSafa SC: Beirut’s Eagles with 3 league titles and an AFC Cup final on the résumé
Safa SC has been part of Beirut’s football fabric since 31 March 1939, rooted in the Wata El Msaytbeh neighborhood and known around the league as the Eagles. The club competes in the Lebanese Premier League and is commonly referred to as Safa SC or Al‑Safa Beirut [1][4].Home days come at Safa Stadium, a compact ground that seats around 4,000 and gives the Eagles a proper neighborhood roar when the league calendar tightens [1][4].The trophy haul tells the story: three Lebanese Premier League titles, three Lebanese FA Cups, a Lebanese Super Cup, and two Elite Cups — silverware that underscores Safa’s status among the country’s established sides [1].On the continental stage, the club’s highlight remains a charge to the 2008 AFC Cup final, a run still fondly remembered by supporters across Beirut [1].Safa keeps an active footprint for fans, with official channels on X and Facebook carrying club updates and community notes [2][3].
