PričaSingapore Dragon & Lion Athletic Association carries 1959 tradition into a packed 2025–26
A mainstay of Singapore’s dragon-and-lion scene since 1959, the Singapore Dragon & Lion Athletic Association (星洲龍獅體育會) continues to steward Foochow Dragon Dance, Futsan Lion Dance, Wu Mei Pai wushu and big‑flag arts as part of its core program [1].On the local circuit, the association took the stage at the 29th Ngee Ann City National Lion Dance Championships, entertaining the Orchard Road crowd during the event’s intermission in September 2025 [2].The calendar stayed busy into the new year, with appearances tied to the National Lion Dance Championships 2026 and the 2nd Dragon Lion Dance Championship in Singapore underscoring an active competitive rhythm [3][4]. A dedicated dragon‑dance performance video further highlights the troupe’s public showcase work [5].With drums, cymbals and flags in full voice, the association keeps tradition in motion while giving fans regular chances to catch the craft up close [1].
