$1.2 Million Upgrade Planned for Jensen Park Baseball Facilities in Lincoln
Planning is underway for a $1.2 million enhancement of the baseball and softball fields at Jensen Park in Lincoln, involving public-private collaboration. The project aims to improve infield grading for drainage and safety, upgrade outfield turf, add full irrigation, install new fencing, dugouts, lighting, bleachers, accessible walkways, and an improved parking lot. Councilman Tom Duden emphasized that the upgrades represent a broader commitment to youth sports in Lincoln. This development is relevant to organizations such as Heartland Baseball League & Professional Development, as the improved facilities could support future youth and developmental baseball and softball programs in the region.
