Athletes Unlimited Softball League Expands as Community Events Drive Interest
Cronin Athletics participates in a growing U.S. landscape for youth and amateur baseball and softball, as recent developments highlight expansion and increased access to the sports. Major League Baseball’s investment in Athletes Unlimited Softball League has enabled its evolution into a six‑team, city‑based professional league airing on ESPN and ABC beginning in 2026 (apnews.com). At the grassroots level, the Little League Urban Initiative will launch eight regional jamborees this year, including a California Major Baseball Jamboree in San Diego (April 10–12) and a Major Softball Jamboree in Highland (April 17–19), fostering participation in underserved communities (littleleague.org). These developments resonate for clubs like Cronin Athletics, as infrastructure and exposure across all levels of baseball and softball continue to grow.
