Athletes Unlimited Softball League Gains MLB Support in Building Professional Pathways
The Mid‑Atlantic Shockers Baseball Club is highlighted within a broader context of baseball and softball development in the region. Notably, Major League Baseball has made a strategic investment in the Athletes Unlimited Softball League ahead of its 2025 debut. This partnership provides support in marketing, event promotion, and broadcast visibility, marking a significant boost for women’s professional softball in the United States (wtop.com). While not directly tied to the Mid‑Atlantic Shockers Baseball Club, the investment underscores expanding opportunities in the broader baseball and softball ecosystem of the region. The Athletes Unlimited Softball League, founded in 2024, will continue its 2026 season with a shift to a city-based model (en.wikipedia.org).
