Baseball stays rooted in Gladewater: Bears program, Union Grove Dixie league and a museum legacy
Gladewater High School fields a Bears baseball program as part of the district’s athletics slate [1].At the youth level, Union Grove Dixie Baseball handles registrations, coach signups, team formation and seasonal waitlists for local families [2].The town’s diamond tradition runs long, with the Gladewater Bears’ history preserved and locals John Burrows and Vallie Eaves among those who reached the majors [3].
