Chicago Cubs Scout Team runs SoCal development hub out of Calabasas
Based in Calabasas, the Chicago Cubs Scout Team operates a Southern California scout/development program under the Cubs Scout Team banner, organizing travel‑ball opportunities for prep talent [1][3].The club fields age‑group squads, including a 17U team listed in Perfect Game events, and is a regular entry across national tournament platforms tracked by Perfect Game and USSSA [2][3][5].Program pages outline directors and contact information, along with travel and roster notes, and reference an affiliated Malibu Marlins collegiate squad within the pathway [4][1].Roster spots are filled via tryouts or recommendations from high‑school and college coaches or professional scouts, with an emphasis on showcasing players for college opportunities and pro scouting exposure [6].Player and team histories, event entries, and organizational profiles are maintained on the group’s Perfect Game and USSSA listings for families tracking schedules and results [3][5].
