Girls Take the Field

Hello, fans of Girls Take the Field! We are thrilled to share that our Bloomfield Hills–based Girls Take the Field flag football league continues to thrive. This season’s title game featured a remarkable group of girls from across metro Detroit, many who had never played together before, uniting under our inclusive and empowering program. Reflecting on the season, our coach Zafar “Coach Z” Shamoon expressed immense pride in how these athletes respected backgrounds, bonded quickly, and embraced teamwork on the field. Since launching in 2020, our league has grown to host over 350 girls per season—totaling about 700 annually—an inspiring testament to the demand and spirit of our community. Here’s to building momentum and making more memories together!
