Grasshoppers Outlast Tourists to Secure Series Win
GREENSBORO KNIGHTS BASEBALL affiliate, the Greensboro Grasshoppers, claimed a series victory with a hard-fought 4–2 win over the Asheville Tourists at First National Bank Field on April 12, 2026. The team (now 7–2) sealed the outcome with a two-run single from Lonnie White Jr. in the seventh inning. Relief pitching by Matt Ager and closer Junior Flores preserved the lead, holding off Asheville’s late rally. The Grasshoppers outhit the Tourists and demonstrated timely hitting and bullpen depth in clinching the six‑game set. The win reflects Greensboro’s continued strong form to start the season.
