Inside the SAYO Grays: Brooklyn nonprofit blending baseball and academics since 2006
SAYO Grays is a Brooklyn youth baseball and softball program operated by the Student Athlete Youth Organization (SAYO), a nonprofit 501(c)(3) founded in 2006 that blends athletics with academic support and college-placement guidance [1]. The club’s name honors the historic Homestead Grays, underscoring a connection to the game’s roots and the program’s development focus [1].The organization fields teams and offers open registration, with dedicated staff and program information available for families, plus a photo gallery highlighting activities and milestones [2][3][4]. The Grays also keep supporters connected through social channels for updates across the calendar [5].
