Meridian 10U All‑Stars bound for Longview regionals, chasing Cal Ripken World Series
Bags are packed for Longview as Meridian’s 10U All‑Stars line up against clubs from around the Northwest and Canada with a Cal Ripken World Series ticket at stake [1]. The group advanced as Idaho’s state runner‑up and now steps into regionals with the same clean, team‑first baseball that powered the summer run [1].Coaches and players have kept the emphasis on fundamentals and the life lessons baked into a postseason grind, while families organize a community fundraising push — including a GoFundMe — to help cover an estimated $40,000 in travel and entry costs if the team punches its ticket to Branson, Missouri [1].Meridian knows this road. Local All‑Star squads have earned Cal Ripken World Series berths in past seasons, a reminder of the standard this 10U group is chasing [2][3].
