New Softball Field Opens, Supporting Growth in Campus Athletics
State Fair Community College’s Roadrunners inaugurated their new on‑campus softball stadium with a doubleheader sweep over North Central Missouri College on April 2, 2026, marking the first time the softball team hosted home games on campus (nationaltoday.com). The newly unveiled facility replaces the off‑campus Mandy Thomas Field and is part of an athletic complex that will soon include a new baseball field, set to open later in April (nationaltoday.com). The development enhances the college’s capacity to host tournaments and fosters community engagement by allowing local high schools and teams to use the fields (nationaltoday.com).In a related context, “Baseball with Bailey” reflects the broader momentum in baseball and softball fields and facilities nationally, illustrating how institutions across the United States are investing in modern infrastructure to support athletic growth and competitive opportunities.
