O’Fallon Sports Park Expansion Supports Baseball and Softball Play
The Hitting Zone is positioned within a vibrant local baseball and softball atmosphere following recent developments at O’Fallon’s Family Sports Park. The park’s ongoing project to add two lighted, all-weather turf soccer fields will enhance capacity for multi‐sport scheduling, including baseball and softball, by enabling the installation of backstops and fences when soccer season concludes (bnd.com). This expansion reflects the region’s growing tournament activity, which brought an estimated $9.6 million in economic impact from baseball, softball, and soccer events in 2024 (bnd.com). Against this backdrop, The Hitting Zone continues to serve as a key indoor training facility offering batting cages, pitching machines, and skill development opportunities for local athletes.
