Opening Night at MacFarlane Park: West Tampa Little League launches 2025 spring
West Tampa Little League (WTLL) opened the 2025 spring season on Feb. 21 with an evening ceremony at MacFarlane Park, marking Opening Night and a stronger turnout across divisions [1]. The league’s home base sits at 2000 N Jamaica St., the heartbeat of weekend ball in West Tampa [6].WTLL runs programs for boys and girls from Tee Ball through Juniors, with district play and seasonal schedules, and steps in to host special tournament dates when the calendar allows [2][4]. The 2025 lift‑off follows last year’s momentum; 2024’s Opening Day packed the park on Feb. 24 and set a lively tone for the year [3].Community engagement keeps the fields humming, from registrations and updates to game‑day photos across the league’s official channels [2][5]. Big‑league ties add a lift as well—slugger Pete Alonso connected with the league in January 2024, a nod to the grassroots energy in West Tampa [7].
