Sachem Little League pauses 2017 season amid declining registration
Sachem Little League did not operate in the 2017 season, citing declining registration that year. [1]For years before the pause, the Ronkonkoma program offered baseball and softball across familiar age groups — Tee Ball (4–6), Farms (7–8), Minors (9–10), Majors (11–12) and Juniors (13–14) — giving local kids a clear path through the divisions. [2]The club also supported inclusive Challenger Division activities in that period, with skills events and fundraisers that kept the community engaged. [1]Older age groups (10 and up) featured 12‑player all‑star rosters that represented the league in Little League tournament play with a path toward Williamsport. [2]
