Wal-Ball Lubbock: private lessons, 16U/18U teams active on the Five Tool circuit
Wal‑Ball continues to serve Lubbock’s player development scene with individualized baseball instruction, highlighted by pitching work. Sessions can be requested directly through the academy’s site, with training based out of a facility just off US‑87 on the south side of town [1].On the club side, the program fields 16U and 18U teams — listed as “Walball” on Five Tool — with season pages that track rosters, staff/administrators, game‑by‑game results and runs for/against [2][3]. Those profiles include head coach Travis Walden and, on some teams, administrators Chris Bourne and Abram Arteaga [2][3]. Walden’s professional profile also identifies him as a coach with the academy [4].The Walball groups have made the regional rounds on the Five Tool slate, including events such as the South Plains Classic, Lubbock Showdown, Abilene Showdown and the Midland Tall City Summer Shootout, with 2024 fall and 2025 summer schedules reflected on their team pages [2][3].
