Western New York High School Softball Season Stalled by Spring Rain
Western New York high school baseball and softball schedules are facing disruptions as persistent rain and lingering snow have left many fields unplayable, leading to widespread postponements and rescheduling. The New York State Public High School Athletic Association reports that numerous districts are scrambling to complete games ahead of playoffs, with some schools arranging doubleheaders or seeking turf alternatives at local colleges to accommodate their teams. St. Mary’s High School is among those affected, having only played three league games this season due to adverse field conditions.
