Youth Indoor Baseball Training Facility Proposed in Plymouth
A proposal for a new indoor youth baseball training facility in Plymouth was presented by Brett Thorney, owner of Thorney Training and Mariucci Elite–Minnesota. The development would involve remodeling approximately 8,100 square feet within a nearly 22,000‑square‑foot building and include four batting cages, pitching machines, sensor equipment, video analysis capabilities, and a weight room. The facility is shaped to serve youth aged 10–18 with training options for both baseball and, eventually, softball athletes. The plan has garnered support from the Plymouth Planning Commission and awaits final approval from the Plymouth City Council. The news is relevant for Atlantic Baseball Club given the shared regional focus on youth baseball development.
