HistóriaJunior National Golf Club Advances Sustainable Renovations
The Junior National Golf Club at Estrella Mountain Regional Park is undergoing significant renovations, with the project focused on enhancing playability, sustainability and infrastructure. Renovations include new greens, bunkers, improved contours, drainage, upgraded irrigation systems and nearly $1 million in new maintenance equipment, including GPS-enabled golf carts. The restoration reduces water usage by approximately 30 percent through removal of non-native trees and reestablishment of native vegetation. Future plans outline the addition of a second 18‑hole championship course and a two‑story clubhouse with restaurant and youth space, expected to open in fall 2028. Throughout, the club continues to offer widespread junior-access programs in partnership with key youth golf organizations.
