HistóriaPre-dawn fire levels cart shed at Longview Country Club; no injuries reported
The quiet of an early Longview morning was broken when a fire tore through the cart shed at Longview Country Club around 5:31 a.m., collapsing the structure and touching off explosions from the golf carts stored inside [2]. The Longview Fire Department responded to the scene. No injuries were reported [2].Roughly 80 carts were housed in the outbuilding and were lost to the blaze as the building came down under the heat and smoke [2]. The damage was contained to the shed area; the clubhouse and pro shop were left untouched, and there were no reports of harm to staff or members [1].Club operations and tee sheets will hinge on cleanup and power checks around the shed side of the property, but the main facilities remain intact as the club works through the aftermath [1][2].
