Old Waverly Golf Club in West Point, Mississippi, has entered a new phase under revised ownership. In October 2024, The Golf Clubs of Mississippi—an investment group—acquired both Old Waverly and its adjacent Mossy Oak Course. The transaction continues the club’s legacy under the stewardship of the Bryan family, who co-founded the facility in 1988. Designated as private, the courses remain preeminent in the region. The transition accompanies ongoing efforts to sustain the club’s standing as one of Mississippi’s premier golf destinations. Notably, Mossy Oak closed for a planned nine‑month renovation beginning in January 2025. Maintenance efforts underscore a commitment to elevate conditions and long-term playability.
